GPS coordinates (Lat, Long): 36.518220, -4.633600
Club La Costa World is 28km (or 17.5 miles) from Malaga airport. If you hire a car for your holiday, it will take about 20-25 minutes to drive to the resort. Airport transfers are also available upon request when you make your booking.
By road: On leaving the airport follow the signs for the A7 E15 AP7 motorway towards Algeciras/Cadiz. Stay on the motorway by-passing Torremolinos and Benalmádena. As you descend towards Fuengirola the road forks; take the right hand side direction towards Fuengirola. WARNING: DO NOT TAKE LEFT HAND CARRIAGEWAY TOWARDS MARBELLA – IT IS A TOLL ROAD. Ignore the exits to Fuengirola. Shortly after Fuengirola you will pass a castle on the left-hand side and a little further on, a campsite and petrol station on the right-hand side. Take the very next right turn after the petrol station into the resort and carry on up the hill through the archway and follow signs for reception. Read our guide about driving on the Costa del Sol
Trains run from the train station at the airport to Fuengirola centre every 20 minutes. The service is very reliable, and the trains are clean, comfortable and cheap. Tickets are bought at the ticket machines or ticket office before entering the platform. Fuengirola is the end of the line and from there it is a simple cab or bus journey to Club La Costa World.
Taxis from the airport can be found directly outside arrivals and there is never a shortage whatever time of the day or night. They are completely reliable and safe, but ask the driver for the fixed fare to Club La Costa World before you get on board.
The local bus service is reliable and cheap and buses run every 30 minutes to Marbella and Fuengirola. From Fuengirola, buses run along the coast to Benalmadena, Torremolions and Malaga. You can also catch a bus from Fuengirola to the whitewashed, mountainside village of Mijas. There are bus stops on either side of the coast road, just outside Club La Costa World.
There is a doctor’s surgery on the resort and appointments can be made by calling Reception on ‘0’. The Spanish Health Service is very modern and the quality of care is good. In case of any possible emergencies on holiday, please make sure you have sufficient travel insurance and bring a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you to cover everyone in the family or party.
