From the 15th June to 15th September, Fuengirola´s beaches will be among the safest on the Costa del Sol. Fuengirola Council has introduced a body of an additional 100 people along the full length of their beaches, some 6.42 kilometres. The purpose of this additional resource is to optimise and coordinate staff and facilities, so that that the best and most efficient service is offered to residents and visitors.
There is a Lifesaving service consisting of 67 people working from 11am to 8pm, every day of the week. Since 2014 the council has put in place new lifeguard towers, new lifesaving equipment and introduced rescue coordination plans in line with the Beach Homogenization Plan.
In addition, they have also launched a Beach Watch team. This team, consisting of 14 people, will ensure compliance with the beach regulations, monitor activities carried out along the coast, provide information and deal with any incidents as they arise.
Besides all this, there are 23 workers carrying out cleaning and maintenance of the beaches daily, two of whom will be responsible for a catamaran which will remove impurities from the sea.
Guests at CLC Club La Costa World can rest assured that they will enjoy safe and clean beaches.
