Club La Costa World, situated around 30 minutes from Malaga Airport, is a prime location from which to visit many different attractions on the Costa del Sol.
Of course, you could always spend time just relaxing on the beach or enjoying the resorts many facilities. But if you have children, or are simply curious to know more about this part of the world, then it is worth exploring further afield.
And one trip out that’s sure to impress the kids is a day at the Crocodile Park located in the coastal town of Torremolinos. It’s just a short drive from Club La Costa World along the main road (A7) to Malaga. Located at the heart of Torremolinos, if you do not feel like driving you could hop on the half hourly train that leaves from nearby Fuengirola Station and it will have you there in just 30 minutes. Once you have arrived in Torremolinos you have the choice of walking to the Crocodile Park, or taking a bus or taxi if you prefer.
The park is set out in such a way that just 2 metres, or less, separates you from these extraordinary creatures that have survived 200 million years of evolution, while ensuring you stay safe. Make sure that when you do visit the park that you discover their largest crocodile of all, Big Daddy, weighing an incredible 600 kilos (over 1,300lbs). Plus go and meet the oldest croc: Big Nose, who is believed to be about 77 years old and measures a whopping 5 metres, or more than 16 feet in length.
There are daily demonstrations and guided tours available. You can expect to spend about two hours visiting all the areas.
