I have booked accommodation, but I did not receive a confirmation by email. What do I have to do?

Can I book more than one room?

You can book up to FIVE rooms through our website. We have extensive experience working with group bookings, sporting teams and those looking for someone to take care of their special occasions.

How would we best describe the resort?

Enjoy the freedom of your own apartment with hotel services and an excellent team of staff.

At what time can we check in?

The official check-in time is 16:00hrs.

Should you plan to arrive early on your check-in date, to get your apartment fully prepared, we appreciate if you inform us in advance by telephone or e-mail.

At what time do we need to check out?

To prepare the apartment for the next occupant, check-out time is 10:00 hrs on the day of your departure.

You may settle your account at Reception on the day before departure.

Check that you have all your possessions.

If you have used the safe, leave it open.

The rest of the resort facilities are at your disposal – including the luggage room, swimming pools, restaurants and bars.

Can I request a late check out?

A late check out is possible for an additional fee and subject to availability. Up to date availability can be made known to you at check in.

I am really enjoying my holiday and would like to extend my stay. Is this possible?

The reception can extend your stay for you. Just contact them to discuss availability.

What are the bed configurations?

One-bedroom apartments will have a double bed by default and a sofa bed.

Two-bedroom apartments will have a double bed, two singles and a sofa bed.

Are cots and highchairs available?

A travel cot and highchairs for babies up to two years, can be requested free of charge.

Highchairs and stair gates can be requested free of charge. All can be ordered via Reception when needed.

Resort Facilities

Are the children’s activities free?

Our Mini Club, aimed at 4 – 11 year olds, offers an array of fabulous fun games for the kids – and some welcome respite for mum & dad – all in a safe and friendly environment. The list of exciting activities has a bit of everything, from sports games and bouncy castles to our popular mini-cinema and mini-disco.

We have a variety of resort activities from water Zumba to football, archery to mini-golf. Our ethos is for everyone to have fun.

Due to local regulations, Mini Club and resort activities will remain closed until further notice.

Is there a doctor on resort?

A private medical centre is not far from Reception in Marina del Sol and is available at certain times:

Mon & Fri | 11:30am – 1:30pm

In case of an emergency or if you need a doctor outside these hours, please do not hesitate to contact Reception or our onsite security.

Is there a fitness centre on site?

The fitness centre is currently closed.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, we have been carefully monitoring the progression of the virus and closely following the advice of Spain’s public health authorities. To be able to guarantee the safety of our guests and team of staff we have made the difficult but important decision to keep this outlet closed. Please remain safe and above all enjoy quality time as a family.

Do you have exercise options in the fresh air?

We know that exercise is important to you and as such here are some suggested alternatives: swimming, family walks or jogging along one of the many routes available to you.

Is there a tennis court available?

For tennis reservations and equipment rental, please visit or call California Beach Reception.

Is WiFi available?

WiFi is available free of charge in the main areas on resort and in all apartments.

Is there free parking on the resort?

Yes, car parking is free.

Some resorts offer an enclosed garage; you may be asked for a refundable deposit for the garage key.

Is there an on-site supermarket?

Zac’s & Sam’s Pantry will remain closed during the current restrictions. A local mini-market is situated within the Resort and on Calle de la Playa, daily | 9:15am – 2:15pm and 5pm - 7.30pm

Do you have any restaurants on site?

There are numerous restaurants onsite catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are also experienced in catering for weddings, special occasions, groups and dietary requests.

Can I room charge?

For your ease and convenience all transactions can be room charged and is our preferred method of payment.

Where is the nearest cash point?

There are 2 cash points on the resort, one situated outside CLC San Diego Suites Clubhouse and another one located opposite Marina del Sol reception.

Is it possible to exchange money at reception?

Should you need to exchange money you can do so at Reception but please bear in mind that this facility is strictly limited to cash exchanges and only for the main currencies. Please contact Reception for the times when this service is available.

Which pools can I use on site?

There are various swimming pools situated around the resort.

The CLC San Diego Suites and CLC Santa Cruz Suites pools are for residents of the California Beach resort only.

For information about which pool(s) is nearest to your apartment and/or heated in the colder months check out the Swimming Pool Map.

Do you provide pool towels?

Pool towels can be provided for you during your stay.

Is there a heated swimming pool?

There is one pool accessible to all guests that is heated in winter (November to May) next to Zacary’s restaurant.

Other heated pools may be available depending on the resort you are staying at. The CLC San Diego Suites and CLC Santa Cruz Suites pools are for residents of California Beach resort only.

Please contact Reception if you have any doubts as to which pools you can use during your stay.

Getting Around

When are the local markets?

La Cala de Mijas – Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Fuengirola – Tuesdays and Saturdays.

How far is the beach?

CLC Club La Costa World is just a 5-10-minute walk from the beach and a free resort road train can transport you to and from the nearest access point.

How far away is the nearest town?

Fuengirola town is approximately 2km from the resort.

I didn’t organise car hire but have since changed my mind. Can I hire a car once at the resort?

Our preferred partner is Autos Lido. They operate out of the airport and from within the resort.

Are there any local buses?

Local buses between Fuengirola and Marbella operate every half hour (every hour and half hour from the main stations, bus number 220), picking up at bus stops located along the motorway.

The closest stop for Marbella is located at the petrol station adjacent to the resort.

The C1 train line connects Fuengirola to Málaga, with stops at Benalmadena, Torremolinos, Plaza Mayor and others.

How do I book a Taxi?

Please contact Reception if you require a taxi from the resort. Due to high demand, we recommend that you book a taxi to the airport the day before departure.

Compared to most countries, taxis are reasonably cheap. The cost of a trip is usually determined by a meter; however, the taxi driver may refer to the official listed tariffs which are available to customers upon request. If in doubt, ask the taxi driver beforehand.

Taxis for more than 4 passengers (minivans) are on request only and via prior reservations. Taxi companies cannot guarantee availability of minivan if requested last minute.

Directions by road:
On leaving the airport, follow the signs for the A7 E15 AP7 motorway towards Algeciras/Cadiz. Stay on the motorway by-passing Torremolinos and Benalmádena. As you descend towards Fuengirola the road forks; take the right-hand side direction towards Fuengirola.

WARNING: DO NOT TAKE LEFT HAND CARRIAGEWAY TOWARDS MARBELLA – IT IS A TOLL ROAD. Ignore the exits to Fuengirola. Shortly after Fuengirola you will pass a castle on the left-hand side and a little further on, a petrol station on the right-hand side. The resort entrance is 300 metres further on.

Go up the hill and follow the signs to California Beach. Turn right after the waterfall and follow signs to CLC Santa Cruz Reception.

Directions by Public transport:
From the airport follow the signs to the railway station (within walking distance). The suburban line C1 trains run every 20 minutes from 7.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. approx. Heading west, the final stop is Fuengirola. From Fuengirola, take a taxi to the resort, which is 5 km away.

Complying with Spanish legislation, all guests over 16 must present and register their passport at Reception on arrival. A credit or debit card will be requested as a deposit.

Apartment Information

Is there are a charge for damages?

We ask you to assist us in keeping your apartment in good condition and maintaining the standard of the resort accommodation.

Please help us by informing Reception if anything is broken, missing or damaged within your apartment.

You may be required to pay for any unnecessary damage that is caused during your stay.

Are there ironing facilities in the apartments?

All apartments have their own iron and ironing board.

Is there a washing machine in the apartment?

All apartments have their own washing machine.

Do the apartments have air conditioning?

All apartments have air conditioning.

Are pets allowed on the resort?

Pets are not allowed on the resort. Please refrain from feeding or letting stray animals into your apartment. The Management makes an annual donation to a local association that feeds and provides medical attention to any stray animals on the resort.

How is rubbish disposed of?

For reasons of hygiene and safety, please dispose of your rubbish at the rubbish collection points, which are shown on the resort map. Please consider the environment and recycle where possible in the bins provided.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is not permitted inside our restaurants, though it is permitted on the terraces. With regard to our apartments, we ask that guests who wish to smoke kindly do so on the terrace. Apart from a consideration towards other guests, this will help maintain the quality of the apartment.

Is there a television in the apartments?

Every apartment has satellite television with channels in various languages. If you experience problems at any time, please contact Reception.
